2006 FIFA World Cup Union of European Football Associations
Serbia and Montenegro, France and Sweden claimed the last automatic qualification place from Europe for the 2006 FIFA World Cup as Turkey, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland and Spain joined Norway in the play-off draw.
The three play-offs will be over two legs on 12/16 November. The draw takes place on Friday at 12.00CET in Zurich, with the three sides holding the highest world ranking - the Czech Republic, Spain and Turkey - seeded to meet either Slovakia, Switzerland or Norway. The winners will then enter the 32-team finals draw in Leipzig on 9 December, which the tournament running from 9 June-9 July 2006.
